Ivan Fantela
Senior Sales ConsultantIvan Fantela began his working career at Ford’s motor company in Geelong. After a few years, he commenced work as a glazier in the Melbourne construction scene where he worked on projects such as the Rialto Observation Deck. Commencing in Real Estate in 1996, he briefly worked in Property Management before realizing his passion for the sales industry. Ivan has had extensive and personal experience in the restoration and renovation of period homes, in which he takes particular delight. His attention to detail and impeccable workmanship is reflected in his dedication to achieving the best results for his clients. “I never forget that I work for the owner and its best interest that I have in the back of my mind.” Ivan is lucky to have a supportive family who understand the demands of the industry; wife Helena is a director at Harcourts North Geelong and son Luka and twin daughters Stephanie and Vanessa.

Mario Grgic
Sales ManagerMario began his career in real estate 36 years ago. After numerous business accolades over the 40 years working in the industry, Mario had the opportunity to open his own office in 1991. The office is currently 16 strong with 6 sales consultants, 2 property managers and 8 dedicated support staff. Family links are strong with daughter Helena Fantela becoming a director in 1995 and son Joe Grgic becoming a director in 2005. Mario’s community spirit has always been strong as he served 9 years of the local Shire (Corio Shire) as a councilor. He even served one year as the President of Corio Shire, the largest council pre-amalgation of the Geelong councils. Mario’s community service work though is never complete having offered his services as a Justice of the Peace for the last 20 years, fulfilling many of its duties in his daily work. Mario also assists many not-for-profit Commitees and Boards. With Mario’s hard working ethos and his non compromising values of integrity, he has definitely set the standard with his fellow colleagues and staff: Delivering only the highest standard of customer service in a straight forward manner.

Originally working in the banking industry for 14 years, Olga commenced her real estate career right here at our office when we were known as North Geelong Real Estate. Helena Fantela
Business OwnerHelena’s introduction to real estate began when she was young; she remembers the family parked outside a house for sale while her father Mario inspected a property with prospective buyers on a Sunday afternoon. Helena was formally introduced when her father Mario Grgic purchased a closing office which they renamed North Geelong Real Estate. Helena started off part time in reception while studying at University but quickly knew where her passion lay. Realising the potential in a profitable property management department she honed her talents into building it into the large portfolio it is today. Gaining her full licence in 1995, she became a director of North Geelong Real Estate and with her brother joining her in the business in 2002, she hasn’t looked back since. Married for 17 years to Ivan Fantela and with 3 teenagers at home she is most looking forward to the support and training that Harcourts provide to keep the office highly motivated and confident in their expectation of quality service to clients.

Joe Grgic
Business OwnerJoe joined North Geelong Real Estate in 1994 in a part-time role while still at high school. He continued to work part-time while completing his Bachelor of Commerce Degree, majoring in Marketing and Management. After taking time off for a working holiday in Europe, Joe returned to join the team in a full time sales consultant role. In 2001 he completed his full Agents License and in 2002 competed in the Novice Auctioneers competition, winning the Geelong & Western Region but being piped in the Victorian State Final. In 2005 Joe became a director of North Geelong Real Estate and was integral in joining the Harcourts group. Joe is married to Rose and has two gorgeous daughters, Evie and Maia. Joe lives locally and loves to support the local community. “I love the northern suburbs of Geelong, I love real estate and with the support, training, systems, size and cutting edge technology offered by being part of the Harcourts team, I believe I will be able to service and achieve a greater result for my clients. Ida has also graduated with a Diploma of Information Technology (after 2 years full time study) and has worked in the Technology Industry. Marie, who began her career as a nurse in New Zealand, began working at the agency at its conception in 1991. Her talents extend from reception duties to bookwork and she is also a qualified Agent’s Representative. Married to Business Manager, Mario for 43 years, her support and easy going nature have been invaluable to the business. You know what they say, behind every great man, there has to be a great woman! Marie’s passions include babysitting her five grandchildren and her beloved New Zealand.

Vesna’s flair for dealing with people is undisputable as she has a genuine passion for providing excellent customer service. Vesna's career history is broad and includes managing a restaurant, working in welfare as a counsellor, marketing, public relations and various administration roles including proof reading and editing. She is no stranger to this industry, growing up in a household that lived and breathed Real Estate. Vesna enjoys travelling and has spent time living abroad in London and around Europe.
