Michael is one of Australia’s most experienced and respected real estate professionals. He is currently in his 40th year of real estate spanning all aspects of the industry and is still actively involved on a daily basis. He has twice been President of the Real Estate Institute of South Australia Inc, a Board member of the Real Estate Institute of Australia, a Fellow of the Society of Auctioneers & Appraisers (SA) Inc and is recognised nationally as one of the best auctioneers in the country, having won the inaugural Australasian Auctioneering Championships (the only South Australian to do so). He has conducted in excess of 8,000 real estate auctions. Michael was a co-founder of Brock Partners Real Estate in 1982 and was primarily responsible for its development as one of South Australia’s most successful, wholly independent real estate companies. In 2004, he brokered the entry of Harcourts – one of the Asia Pacific region’s largest residential real estate networks – into the South Australian market. Brock Harcourts is already one of the State’s largest and most successful real estate groups, and Michael is the major shareholder. Michael has very strong contacts and experience across Australia and is a national and international keynote speaker on real estate. He is a highly skilled negotiator, communicator and businessman as well as spending enormous time on raising money for numerous charities. Finally, he was recently featured in the book “Prime Property” as one of the top 36 “industry experts” in Australia over the past 50 years – one of only three South Australians to be chosen.
