She managed the volumes and efficiency of five production plants in four states, and oversaw the timber procurement contracts with the various State Forestry Authorities. In the contract management roles, Donna effectively operated as the clients advocate by ensuring their needs were met, and the projects were delivered on time and to expectation. Donna also owned and operated a business for ten years manufacturing timber products, as well as supplying and installing decks, pergolas and retaining walls. She was incidentally one of the first to offer interest free finance for these types of installations in the region. In addition to her significant management experience in the building industry, Donna provided administration support for her husband’s mortgage business for three years, following up with clients, banks and solicitors. Therefore, she gained the skills to easily and effectively liaise with a broad range of people while accurately identifying their needs and wants, and simultaneously obtaining a thorough understanding of the way the industry operates.
